The Rundown: Riley and his dad make things worse when they try to anonymously report another murder.

After finding another body near their home, Riley and his dead are desperate to find a way to notify the police without bringing attention to the young man who was recently accused of murder. At the same time, Patty deals with the memories of her old friends and how they met as well as her feelings of being stuck with no sense of what to do next.
In town, Riley and Jim buy a burner phone to contact the police, but their naivete will come back to haunt them when they return home and Susan decides to not bring Lil back home as the police close in and arrest both father and son.
The Story: DeConnick delivers another fun, engaging and entertaining story in this issue. I love learning more about the characters, especially Patty during this issue and her relationship with her friends is brilliantly showcased. I love the madcap humor of Riley and Jim’s adventures with the burner phone and how even the humor of the moments is tempered with the rising threat from Susan. I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.
The Art: Lopez delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I continue to love the unique visual palette that Lopez uses and how every visual moment matches the emotion that moment needs.
